On a horrible night for football BBSE got their championship back on track. A score for the traditionalists set the scene – a 60 metre kickout from Ben O’Riordan to brother Dan in midfield two solos and a 40 metre pass to Conor McGrath who turned and popped it over the black spot.3 great goals from Conor,Ron and Dara followed and points from play from Aido and Ryan left the half time score 3-3 to 1-1.
Fingallians started well in the second half and were unlucky with a missed penalty and 2 good goal chances. Then BBSE took over again- a sublime finish from Cathal Creed was quickly followed by great goals from Jack Finn and Ryan Skelly and Aido nailed 2 frees. Fingallians tagged on 4 points but the BBSE defence ably marshelled by the youthful Mick ensured no goals were conceded.
Overall this was a great squad effort – unfortunately due to the odd flash of lightning management decided that all GPS sport trackers had to be left in the dressing room.Several players would have covered 10k.
