Most teams within the Juvenile section are now winding down for the summer break. The U9 girls are the only Juvenile team with official fixtures listed for this weekend. Our under 10’s have three teams heading down to Moorefield Gaa Club in Kildare to take part in a Leinster blitz on next Saturday morning. This will be their first opportunity to represent Boden outside Dublin and we hope they have a great tournament.
Both Senior teams had Cup matches last Wednesday. The Senior A’s had a good win over Parnells with a score of 2 – 8 to 3 – 3. Meanwhile the Senior B team went down to Judes in their Cup match 4 – 13 to 2 – 12. Both Senior teams have a break in Fixtures this week and will return to league fixtures on the 14th July. On Saturday last our u16’s hosted a team from St. Conleths Gaa Club, Portarlington for a challenge match. Ned Floods report below gives a good account of the game.
Well done to Rachel Ruddy, Natalia Hyland and the Dublin Senior Ladies as they beat Kildare last Sunday. Next Sunday they take on Westmeath in the Leinster semi final, throw in @ 1.00p.m. in Naomh Mearnog.
Hard luck to the U12 Community Games team who were knocked out of the Leinster quarter final by Kilcullen by a narrow 2 point margin with a score of 5 – 3 to 4 – 8 . Special mention must go to Mike Fitzpatrick, Pat Reynolds and Ciaran McCarthy who put in a huge effort over the last few months in organising and preparing this team for the competition. Although the girls were very disappointed the experience will no doubt stand to them in the future.
