Boden’s Senior A Camogie team got their 2019 League campaign off to a winning start against Skerries in Pairc Ui Murchu last Sunday.Boden were in good form from the start with a series of well taken points led by Dervla Brennan. A well worked goal finished by Jodie White gave Boden a commanding lead before conceding a sloppy goal from a free just before half time. Boden led at half time 1-12 to 1-4 with all of it’s forwards on the score sheet.
Boden started the second half with good intensity and kept the scoreboard ticking over. A goal by Darina Ryan midway through the second half put distance between the teams but Skerries kept challenging and were rewarded with a goal of their own . Boden however had enough in reserve to see the game out finishing on a scoreline of 2-18 to 2-8.
A good start but stiffer tests lie ahead , starting with game away to Faughs next Sunday.
