Injury time point sends Boden through to Leinster Semi-Final

A late injury time Hollyn Kennedy  point secured a draw for Boden’s Senior Camogie team in their Leinster League clash against a skilful St. Brigids of Kilkenny in PUM last Sunday. The crucial score also secured the path to a Leinster semi-final clash with Oulart the Ballagh in Wexford on Sunday 10 March.

A beautiful crisp day with an excellent PUM sod provided ideal conditions for a game which saw St. Brigids start the brighter racing into a three point lead. A great goal from Danielle White settled Boden. Well worked points from Dervla Brennan , Aisling Byrne and Jodie White saw Boden up by two at half time  1-4 to 0-5.

The second half saw a great tussle between two determined teams.  Second half points from Aoife Tobin, Mairead Luttrell , Dervla Brennan  and Laura Nagle had the teams level going into injury time. Another Dervla Brennan point looked to have secured a Boden win but St. Brigids hit back with two points of their own before Holly Kennedy’s late equaliser. All in all, a draw was a fair result after a competitive encounter. Final Score Boden 1-10 St. Brigids 1-10.
