A tough weekend for our footballers as both our Seniors and Junior B’s bowed out of the Championship at the semi-final stage.
A large Boden crowd arrived in Parnell Park on a sunny Saturday evening but probably left with a few clouds over their heads after we went down to a hard working and clinical Na Fianna team. In truth we never really got going in the first half and went in 0-01 to 0-10 points behind. The second half was better and we created some momentum but crucially failed to find the scores we needed to mount a comeback. We’ll come back stronger for it next year for sure. On Sunday our Junior B’s travelled to Rolestown to take on Fingal Ravens but unfortunately came up short by 1-18 to 1-07. It was a great effort by the lads who were in Junior 3 championship last year, thanks to Griff and and the lads for the entertainment this year.
