The Boden Breakfast returned last Saturday and was once again a truly memorable occasion.  From 8am until 12.30 there was a continuous stream of people entering the club hall to enjoy breakfast, meet fellow members and support the Adult Hurling Section.  They were greeted by the Adult Hurlers who did an exceptional job helping to serve the delicious breakfasts and ensuring that everyone left the hall happy and “full”.  As an event, it is far more than a breakfast and a fundraiser.  It brings our Adult Hurlers into contact with club members, young and not so young, in a way which is truly beneficial to all.

I wish to express my sincere gratitude, and that of the club, for the exceptional commitment shown by everyone in delivering a hugely successful event. As well as a great fundraiser, the breakfast has become a wonderful  social event for club members and their friends. I genuinely believe the reason we have such a strong section is due to the commitment and goodwill of so many. It takes exceptional people to drive the section on so many fronts and without all of them in key positions this would not be possible.

The Breakfast Morning would not happen without a team of people behind the scenes. It takes remarkable teamwork and it was chaired by the very capable Mark Mellett and supported by so many others. I think we’d all agree the team did an excellent job in putting together an event that is now firmly in everyone’s diary.

Finally, a huge thank you to all our sponsors (see poster below) many of whom have supported our breakfast morning each year. We truly appreciate your support, and we can only hope our members return the favour by supporting your businesses in the year ahead.

Special call out to the sponsors of our 1st ever Breakfast Morning Raffle. We were delighted with response and many thanks to our ticket sellers, our Minor Hurlers.
