Well today was the first day of the league and first up were the all Ireland feile winners Foxrock Cabinteely.
From the off Foxrock showed they had lost none of their class, hitting 3 points. Ballyboden settled in and quickly came to grips with their opponents, A couple of goals from Aisling Byrne and Sarah Moore helped us settle in to an entralling game with both teams playing at full tilt and no quarter given.
Defence was key and Joanne,Saoirse and Hannah Leddy stood firm with Aoife, Aisling Gargan, Helena and Hannah Murphys strong runs supplying the forward line with quality ball. Both sides traded scores with Foxcab scoring a goal with 2 minutes left to lead by a point. However hats off to our gang and a strong drive from the half backs created an oppurtunity for Eva Cunningham who was dragged down. Eva duly obliged kicking a tricky free to earn a well deserved draw with the last kick of the game.
