Ballyboden U13A 2-12 – 1-6 Kimacud Crokes U13A
After the recent bad weather and match postponements, the girls and mentors alike were raring to go for Saturday’s match out in Silver Park. The Boden girls got off to the best possible start after a run and shot found the back of the net. This was followed by 4 more points to give Boden a good lead before Crokes registered a point.
Crokes tried to get back into the game but were met with an outstanding rearguard and when they did manage to get through, they found keeper Clodagh in outstanding form.
A further opportunist goal and 5 points gave Boden a good lead of 2-9 to 1-3 at half time.
The second half was a tighter affair with Crokes defending their goal superbly. The Boden girls continued to dominate but without converting the scores. In the 2nd half only 3 points were registered by each team.
Overall a good day for the team and a second win at the start of their league campaign.
