Under 14 Div 6: Naomh Fionnbarra 2-5 BBSE C 1-1
The match was played at John Paul II Park, off the Navan Road, Cabra. Naomh Fionnbarra are a very strong athletic team. They had us under relentless pressure all the way through the first half. Only for a couple of great saves from our goalie we would have conceded more than 5 points in the first half. However right at the death of the half we scored a great goal from our only real opportunity. The ball was fed up from the backs through mid-field to the left half forward who placed an inch perfect pass into the path of the onward running centre half forward who buried the goal. Although we competed much better in the second half, Fionnbarra scored a couple of goals to win the match by 2-5 to 1-1.
