On Bank Holiday Monday May 6th we hosted the inaugural Ballyboden St Endas U16 Camogie Invitation Tournament. Despite a coupleof unfortunate late withdrawals, we had a 4-Team tournament with visiting teams from Athenry(Galway), St Martins(Wexford) and St Judes.
During the 30minutes games great skills were on display, terrific goals and points scored and many laughs were had throughout the day. In a thrilling Final St Martins pipped the home team by a single point to be crowned the first winners of the Tournament.
The day proved to be a great success due to the helpof the many volounteers invovled in setting up pitches, making refreshments and catering for our visitors.
We aim to make this a permanent date in the Camogie Calendar.
