Match Report by Jennifer Harahan (U13)

September 4th 2016

On Sunday morning, our U13A camogie team played against Kilmacud Crokes in Cherryfield. We knew it was going to be a tough match and we came out fighting and hungry to win. The match started in wet conditions and we scored the first two goals. Crokes only managed to score two points in the first half thanks to our very solid defence and some great saves from Lucy our goalkeeper. Another goal and some points followed for Boden from our super forwards.

As the ref blew the whistle for the second half, again the midfields were very strong delivering the sliother into the forwards and we scored two very quick goals. Crokes responded with a goal but Boden kept the pressure on by continuing to score.

It was a great team effort and thanks to the U12s who played up. This was a fantastic start to our championship to beat Crokes 7-5 to 1-2.
