Under 16B v Ballinteer St. John’s Saturday 12th March.

The under 16B’s headed to Marley Park on Saturday afternoon for one of their favourite fixtures of the year. Ballinteer always play well on their home turf and this game was no exception. Boden started well and would have been well satisfied with their opening 15 minutes had they converted more of their possession to scores but alas they didn’t and when Ballinteer found their rhythm they tagged on 2 -2 in quick succession. A single goal from Laura Mullen left the halftime score at 2 – 2 to 1 – 0 in St. John’s favour.

A revitalised Boden played with some style in the second half – amazing what a few packets of Edel Tevlin’s Jaffa Cakes can do. Alana McGarry struck two great points and Hannah Tevlin found the net with a rocket. Disappointing to lose (on a final score of 3-2 to 2-2) but a great effort from a team just finding its feet.
